Faster Has Always Been Better

Johannes Gutenberg’s printing press with movable type eliminated the need for hand copying books.  That made book production unbelievably faster and cheaper, revolutionizing the world!  Speed was the key factor.

Steam trains were faster than horse-drawn coaches.  That’s what made them better.  The Pony Express was faster than mail by wagon. Telegraphs were even faster.  Fast food is (What else?) faster.  Faster.  Faster.  Faster!  All through history faster has meant better.

Except for cars.  With cars, “Speed kills.”
