2. There are several categories of distractions: chosen, unavoidable, and even necessary.

3. Distractions are intrinsic to driving, unlike alcohol and drugs.

4. Habitually distracted drivers are certain that they are fully in control and pose no threat to people or property.

5. It is high time that officials stopped offering drivers intellectually dishonest choices like: either answer the cell-phone and run somebody over, or don’t answer it, save somebody’s life, and avoid permanent personal remorse.

6.Without detailed, valid, and widely disseminated explanation, legislation will be opposed and/or ignored.

7. Minimizing drivers” acceptance of and participation in digitally distracted driving requires that they understand the fundamental theory and practice of driving, which, unbelievably they are not taught in our traditional systems.
